ABOUT

Brenna McCormick

A creative strategist, I specialize in the skills that help leaders, learners and organizations to succeed in the Creative Industries through a focus on developing stronger creative collaboration, storytelling, and marketing/brand strategy.

A Senior Executive-in-Residence at Emerson College, I am the Director of the Business of Creative Enterprises (BCE) major and Graduate Program Director of Strategic Marketing Communication (SMC) in the Department of Marketing Communication.  I bring 10+ years of digital agency and consulting experience to my teaching of the Creative Economy, Marketing the Creative Enterprise, Creative Collaboration, Creative Thinking & Problem Solving, and Capstone courses. I believe in applying academic best practices to real world industry challenges.

Outside of teaching, I am a consultant with mediaman, an international digital marketing agency, based in Mainz, Germany.  My agency and consulting experience includes such clients as: Sperry Top-Sider, Cisco Systems Inc., EMD Serono, Pioneer Investments, Procter & Gamble, Keds, Jones New York: L.e.i.; PVH: Calvin Klein, IZOD; and Reebok.

I completed my Masters in Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) from Emerson College in 2006, where I focused on brand strategy and explored my love of history and marketing in researching the tenants of successful, established luxury brands.   After graduating from Boston University in 2000, with a degree in American Studies, my career path lead me to eight years in the stationery industry, establishing my love of all things tactile and tangible when weaving together ideas, strategy and storytelling.

Please reach out if you would like to learn more about working with me through one-to-one coaching, workshops, consulting, or speaking engagements.
